Chinese Drywall
Chinese Drywall is a health, safety and product defect issue involving drywall manufactured in China and used in construction in the United States.
So far gases such as carbon disulfide, carbonyl sulfide, and hydrogen sulfide have been found to be present in the drywall.
Buildings that have Chinese Drywall in them may have corrosion on copper surfaces. The corrosion appears in a black powder like form and often
appears on air conditioner coils, pipes, and wiring. The corrosion also causes spotting or corrosion on mirrors, fixtures and jewelry.
Persons living or working in these conditions often complain of headaches, nose bleeds, sinus problems and/or respiratory tract infections.
It is estimated that between 30,000-100,000 homes in the United States may contain Chinese Drywall.
Our firm is working to help homeowners, property owners, tenants and others affected by Chinese Drywall. In appropriate cases in larger developments,
our firm has partnered with experienced attorneys, effectively maximizing representation without increasing costs. We believe that class action lawsuits
will not provide the best recovery for our clients, which is why we focus on and prosecute these lawsuits individually. Our representation is three fold by:
working with members of the government for grant funding, negotiating with lenders to provide stays on mortgages and working toward final resolution with the
individual lawsuit.
Please contact us if our firm can provide assistance to anyone impacted by Chinese Drywall.
